RACE FOR LIFE 2009

DUTHIE PARK CHARITY EVENT 2009
Lorraine and Carlanne volunteered to do some free hair ups and consultations for the women who took part in the 10k for Breast Cancer Awareness on Sunday 17th May. Lorraine says ‘It was a great atmosphere. We helped people with their hair in the Winter Gardens, it was a beautiful sunny evening and we were surrounded by cacti and an orchestra!’

BEST REGIONAL SALON 2008
Lorraine held an in-salon competition to see who would accompany her to the HAIR MAGAZINE AWARDS in London.. Lainey won and the both jetted off to the very scrumptious Haymarket Hotel in Piccadilly to attend the event. Lorraine says 'We were very excited to be one of only four finalists in BEST REGIONAL SALON 2008'.

The girls were blown away by the venue, mimicking an LA Pool Party. A team of synchronised swimmers put on an amazing show of perfection and Lorraine and Lainey got to meet some of their hairdressing heroes including the British Hairdresser of the Year, Andrew Barton and Akin Konizi, who achieved the same title in 2008.

'We were pipped at the post by the great Andrew Collinge who won our category, but we're delighted to get this far and be here among the best salons in the UK' Lorraine said, 'We had a fantastic evening.'
