ABOUT OUR ABERDEEN BASED HAIR SALON

Hatstand Nelly was created in August 2004 to offer hairdressing with a difference.

It's not just about the cut or colour, although these are delivered with the utmost professionalism. It's also about the total salon experience. Great customer care and individual style advice for individual people, creating great looking hair from brave and bold to silky and smooth.

We listen to you to give you hair that fits in with your lifestyle, is most definitely 'you' and looks great between visits - not just when you leave the salon.

Our aim is to enhance the good stuff and tame the bad stuff!

Our Juice Bar offers fresh blended smoothies, juices as well as Fairtrade coffees & teas while you're here - or just pop in if you're passing to sit in or take away.

We have evolved over the years in this exciting ever-changing industry which is so closely related

to fashion, however our philosophy remains unchanged.

How we got our name

The location on Nellfield Place caused Lorraine and her husband to nickname the salon 'Nelly's'.

"After a long search, I found the right property and we started work right away - there was a lot to be done and I had a very clear vision of what I wanted the salon to be".

After the completion of the work the name just stuck. It took us ages to come up with 'Hatstand'. For those who don't know, Hatstand is all about crazy, different, individual - very appropriate!
